Equine Mental Health Therapy

Equine-assisted Mental Health Therapy is effective:

  • a complementary therapeutic service used in partnership with more traditional treatment.

  • It  supports youth and adults dealing with: stress, traumaanxietydepressionPTSD, and more.

  • Tme spent outdoors close to nature is grounding

  • Horses  offer a sense of peace, as they only will react to the client's behavior and emotions with no threat of bias or any judgment of their emotional experience

  • Horses convey understanding and connection allowing clients to feel safe.

  • Horses allow for clients to maintain a sense of self-awareness, using the horse's behavior and interactions for feedback and opportunities to check in and process what is happening in the moment.

  • Processing challenges through a horse's behavior can be easier for clients than speaking directly about their own personal experiences with anxiety.
